Attending my ex-classmates (Joanna) wedding reception at Sibu for past few weeks. Get chances to meet some of my old classmates. After attending the dinner we heading to cafe cafe for gathering.

Annie u have BF already? asked Joanna... hehehe I am still single and available.

From my personal POV, I sure hope this year will sail through smoothly. Just like every other year.

Career? A little bit tensed but I'm coping well, and hoping to make some major contributions.

Relationship. Seeing so many friends around getting engaged or married is indeed a real pressure. Let's just say something will happen this year alright? No wild guesses please, we don't wanna make things too predictable, do we?

Financial. Sabotaged by red bombs hurled around. Okay, just kidding. Hopefully it'll be steadier than last year, I had some bad moments towards end of 2009 but everything turned out well and good things are spilling over to the new year.

Health-wise, will need to watch my food intake. High level of uric acid but yet to see any symptoms. High level of bad cholesterol. Goodbye to Bak Kut Teh.

Won't be making any new year resolutions, at this age I'm starting to feel that my goals are for life, and hopefully I won't be setting myself any short-term targets and risk getting in the way of what I want to achieve in life's marathon.

Anyway single life tends to make me to appreciate my family members more ^___^

Messages from an Hotelier to Hotel Guest

Ok, everyone include myself is seeking a pampered experience when staying at any hotel. However, it’s also crucial not to go overboard on your demands or demeanor. No doubt Customer is always Right but even the hotel guests have rules of etiquette to observe (no offensive yeah, some of the hotel guest are really out of controls when they stay at the hotel, they tend to have a mentality like WE ARE PAYING.)

Rules No. 1
Don’t be a slob
Please do treat the hotel room like your own room at your home sweet home. If you eat in your hotel room or open up toiletries and packages, throw what you don’t need into trash can. Don’t expect the housekeeping staff to clean up after you like you’re a retarded child. Shame on you.

Rules No. 2
Always be genuinely polite to the hotel staffs
In hospitality industry, we as a hotelier tend to serve customer like a KING. So please be more polite like saying “Please” & “Thank you”. Please do not shout like uneducated fellow should any error occurred. Employees will be more willing to be extra accommodating if they know they’re helping someone who is pleasant & respectful.

Rules No. 3
Keep your laundry from hotel dirty linens & towels;
By doing this, you’ll help housekeeping the icky task of having to go through your dirty Underwear or Bra in order to get to the towels or pillowcases that they need to take to be laundered.

Rules No. 4
Be as quiet as possible & Be more considerate
You don’t have to turn your TV volume up loud enough for people in the next room to hear. Keep it a reasonable level to avoid “payback” problems with your neighbours. Do not slam the bathroom doors or closet doors and created disturbance to other guest.

Rules No. 5
Don’t have a in house PARTY in hotel room
Never ever have a PARTY in the hotel room. Imagined the cleaning chores on the foods stain, the puking stains, not to say the messy rooms and of course you don’t want to be complaint by others.

Rules No. 6
Complimentary Breakfast
The hotel’s complimentary breakfast should be only consumed for breakfast. Don’t fill up extra plates full of fruits, yogurts, meat and bread and take them back to your room to have later for lunch.

Rules No. 7
Conserving the Energy
Hmm… This practices seem to be applied at all hotels however despite of the numerous notices that display in the hotel room, many of the guests still ignored it. When you leave your room, switch of all the rights and turn off the TV off as you would do that at home and just because you’re not entitled to clean towels, it doesn’t mean you have to request one after every single use. No harm to reuse them after all, you will re-use towels at home.

Working outside (away from home) is suck. I started to miss my Mom & my Siblings badly.

When I was in my hometown, I no need to worry that I am lonely

I was touched by this song. Many people know what filial piety but failed to fulfill it. Sad to say this ….

As for myself, I am a very traditional Chinese Foochow Girl. Nothing can ever replace my family member status in my heart. I always feel the strong bond between me and them. No doubt we will quarrel over small matters but at the end, we harmonized.

Anyway I happen to listen to this song when I was on my business trip from Miri – Brunei. As first I don’t know what the meaning of the lyric is because it’s a Hokkien song and I don’t speak fluent Hokkien. I only manage to know minor Hokkien phrases.

When the singer came to this part嘸通等成功欲來接阿母住 阿母啊 已經無置遐, my tears nearly drop. Suddenly I remember my grandmom, she is the greatest Grandmom but already return to the arm of GOD. She was the one who take care of me when I was still a child. I can still remember her warm smile & touch. I love her.



My mom is always by my side whenever I am down. That's why I choose to work within Sarawak, so that I can going back to my hometown whenever I want to.

My Current Working Environment

Its already being more than a week I didnt updated my blog. I arrive at BTL on 15 July and report on duty on 16 July. Its being such a such notice I given to my ex company after deducting my leave, my last day was on 11 July. It was a real new challenge in this hotel. I study hotel and tourism management and my past three yrs working experience were more to the oil palm plantation and legal.

First day report on duty, I saw many familiar face. They are all my colleagues during my training at Everly back to 2005. Gosh its being more than 4 yrs I didnt saw them. Despite on them, I get to knw my two colleagues in sales and marketing department. They are very helpful and patient in most of the time as I have many enquiries. Get to knw two cute ladies from account and admin department and a guy from advertising and promotion department.

I will check in the Royal Suite in my hotel on this Sat. Its gonna be a great experience for me to stay at this luxurious room.. Got jacuzzi inside. Going out for sales call and heard some comments and feedbacks on our hotels. Our hotel was a great spot to stay as the shopping mall was just a door step from the hotel. Many eating outlets and pubs surrouding the hotel. It was so convenient.

So far so good. I love my jobs...
